I got a call from my bank on Wednesday, my credit card number had been compromised. This is the second time this has happened, my Amex got nabbed a few years back. I'm pretty sure that in both cases they've been stolen online, and most likely not from the places I've been shopping. It's more likely that one of the credit card processors has been compromised yet again.

There had been a $10 charge for some "Christian" place and 13 seconds later the card got hit with a little under $90 from somewhere else. This happened about 5 am in my time zone and luckily (?) we were on a trip and I rented a car and paid for a hotel. We'd just got to the room when the bank called. The hotel charge in a different city was the final trigger. Needless to say I had to go back down and give the hotel another credit card.
