Death blamed on noise canceling headset

FUTURE, USA - The failure of a noise canceling headset to recognize the user was blamed in the death of a middle aged man today. Witnesses state that the 911 caller's voice was high pitched due to abnormal stress levels and the headset filtered it out as background noise, causing delays in help to arrive.

The current models of trainable noise canceling headsets tune to the frequencies in a user's normal voice and filter out all others to avoid background noise and other peoples' voices from inteferring with the call.
